SITE SUPERVISORS SAFETY TRAINING

This course is for first line managers and those who have or are about to acquire supervisory responsibilities. The aim and objective of the 2 day program is to ensure that all those given supervisory responsibilities understand the following:

 

   • Why they are carrying out their identified duties and;

   • What is expected of them and;

   • To ensure that they contribute to the safety of the

     workplace

Plant operator training

Our Plant Instructors (CITB, NPORS & Sitesafe schemes) carry out Plant operator training and testing for both the experienced operator and the new entrant into the industry to meet the standards set by the various schemes.

Touch-screen Health and Safety Tests

In order to obtain your CPCS plant operators certificate, you must have passed a Health and Safety touch screen test within the last two years.

 

Once you have booked your ‘Touch-screen’ test you will be sent written confirmation of the test date and a booklet containing all possible questions for revision purposes.

 

The Sitesafe scheme requires candidates to attend an approved ‘Safety Awareness’ training course as part of their CPD, before taking the practical operating test and again before the 5 year renewal date.

Asbestos awareness

Asbestos awareness training is essential for employees whose work holds the potential to exposure to asbestos. Regulation 10 of the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 puts a requirement on employers to ensure that their staff have undergone suitable asbestos awareness training so that they are aware of the potential dangers they may face and the procedures they must follow in the event they are working in the vicinity of asbestos containing materials (ACMs).

Abrasive wheels

This course is suitable for all operators, managers and supervisors who, as part of their working duties supervise the use of abrasive wheel equipment or select, mount, specify or use abrasive wheels as defined in PUWER Regulations 1998.

HEALTH AND SAFETY AWARENESS TRAINING

The Health and Safety Awareness Training Programme is a 1 day course. The general course covers the following:

CONFINED SPACE SAFETY AND RESCUE

This one day course is designed for companies whose staff are required to enter areas that are classified as confined spaces and where there may be a risk of serious injury or death.

 

The aim of this course is to provide awareness of a safe working environment within a confined space and to inform delegates of procedures, to ensure safe access and egress from a confined space and to give training in emergency procedures for use in the event of an emergency arising whilst operators are working in the confined space.
